I am reaching out to ask for your support in building a small, 500-square-foot house for a daily wage worker from Chengannur, Kerala. He is the breadwinner of his family of three. His wife is unemployed, and they have a school-aged son. For the past 12 years, they have been living in a rented space. Fortunately, he owns a piece of land where a small house can be constructed. A local community youth movement is assisting him in preparing the house construction plans and applying for a government grant that would cover 50% ($5000) of the construction cost. Unfortunately, he is penniless and has no savings of his own. He is now reaching out to well-wishers to raise the remaining funds.
